5 Safe Outdoor Activities
As states start to reopen after quarantine, many activities are starting up again with proper social distancing and safety measures in place. It’s always a good idea to wear a mask when you are close to other people outside of your immediate household. Even if you don’t show symptoms of coronavirus, you can unwittingly spread the disease to others from your respiratory droplets, so best to be safe.
Here are 5 excellent outdoor activity suggestions as we safely reopen:
- Drive-in theaters—are, for the obvious social distancing advantages, making a comeback during the pandemic. Pile the whole family into the car with some snacks and blankets and head to the outdoor movies!
- Gardening—Backyard and even indoor gardening is having a renaissance. It’s a great way to get exercise and to grow your own food and ornamentals.
- Farmer’s markets—And if you’re not ready to give your green thumb a try, you can safely attend farmers markets that have set up proper social distancing protocols.
- Outdoor exercise groups—Tai chi, yoga, qigong, and other outdoor exercise activities can be safely done in outdoor groups practicing proper distancing and safety guidelines.
- Cycling—This is an excellent outdoor activity with social distance more easily maintained with the bicycles.
